The shuttle is syncronized so you don't even have to come to a complete stop to hit reverse. Just let off the throttle clutch shift to reverse and let the clutch back out. You need to try it.
I have a synchro shuttle setup on my tractor and it's pretty smooth to operate. After a day or two of using it you'll be a "pro". Like the guy's said, try them all out before you buy. I was`partial to the shuttle setup myself, so go run 'em and then decide.

i like where they are located.i have had no trouble.much better than my buddies JD 4600.
talked to the dealer yesterday and he says there is an adjustment for the reverse speed.i figured there was but i didn't want to mess with it until i talked to him.

I have a geared 2415 with a fel and bh. I do just about everything but mow with it. The gear version has just a bit more pto hp than the hst if that matters. If I ever mow it will be with a rear mount mower so I cant help with a belly mower. Other wise its a graeat machine

Ok I tried both the HST and Gear Saturday... I really liked the Shuttle 3215... Ok the guy priced it for like $17,800 with ML 111 FEL and a 72 inch finish mower... I don't know, but I think that is a fair price. What does everyone think?? Is this a fair price?? If anyone has any complaints with the 3215 gear or Mahindra Please tell me NOW... as I will be going to pick up the tractor next week... The dealer is working on the paperwork and looking the machine over before I pick it up, as it was closing time when I got there and with no truck or trailer to bring it home.... What was I thinking??

Sounds like a good price. I am well satisfied with my 3215 HST that I've had for over a year. Very comfortable and user friendly with plenty of power. You'll be happy.

Just took my 3215 to the dealer for some warranty work. Have around 75 hours and it will be a year since I purchased it in the middle of June. I have been very happy with it. One of the connections to the fel is leaking hydraulic fluid. It probably just needs tightening, but it is under warranty so I figured I would let the dealer take a look at it. The other day I was mowing and my seat came off. The small lock washer or whatever it is called came off the rod and the rod worked loose. Amazingly all the parts were sitting under the seat when I got off and it was a quick fix.

I've got about 16 hours on my new 2415 HST. Love it! I was leary of the HST, having only driven between the knee shifting gears before, but it works well.
The dealer didn't have a 24 in HST on the lot, so I only got to drive the 28 and 32 in the HST. those were LOUD (squealing/whiningthe HST, that is).....the 2415's HST is much better. Nice and quiet. Squeals a bit in reverse, and do wish reverse was faster....

I also love my 2516HST (new version of 2415HST). I have about 10 hours on it so far and it runs pretty good... I toyed with getting a 2815 / 3215HST, but they were probably an overkill for what I really needed in a tractor. The 3215 frame is significantly bigger than the 2415 and I would have a hard time with some of my close in mowing tasks.
My only gripe is the location of the fuel cap. Why do the have to put it on top of the tractor and not the side. I only have a 5 gallon diesel can right now and I have to fill it short so I don't spill on the hood. I will eventually get a drum stand and longer hose, but not everyone has that luxury.
