I was tilling to plant fall turnips this evening when I turned the wheel and heard a pop. It was immediately followed by an uncomfortably warm sensation in my left foot. I looked down to find that one of the power steering hoses had ruptured and my foot was being bathed by a spray of hot hydraulic fluid from the ruptured hose.

Two questions:

1. Does anyone know the names/dimensions of the connectors on both ends of the hoses? I want to get a replacement made on the way home from work tomorrow if possible, and I didn't have tools with me to take the old one off.

2. What kind of fluid is correct to replace the loss? Is it regular power steering fluid, tractor hydraulic fluid or something else? The fluid that came out smelled a lot like ATF.

Thanks in advance for any help
