I bought this 25 gallon ATV type spot sprayer and did quite a bit of spraying with it when I was at my small ranch in Texas. Always worked good. I always cleaned it out good if I wasn稚 going to be spraying the next day, in other words, I feel I took care of it.

Moved to Illinois last year and went to use it last summer, pump wouldn稚 work even though I know I had thoroughly flushed it out. It had been setting for maybe a year. I can稚 seem to make any sprayer last?IF I store the sprayer for any length of time. Is there some trick to this?

Either I need to rebuild this pump a Fimco 2.1gpm or go to new pump...mayber a different brand, like Shurflo, Devalan, or Everflo. Maybe there are others.

What痴 everybody else experience with these different brands?

I hate to ask but did you check both switches inline and on motor? Do you have a fuse inline also. Might just be something simple like a switch, fuse, or a bad connection. I have had a 25gal fimco from TSC for over 6 years(not sure exactly). I had an inline fuse that I put in go before with 3/4 full still of weed n feed.
Don't know of any tricks. I just neutralize and rinse out good when done. Run pump till out of pressure, pull nozzels out of boom, and let air dry, then I store it above my garage.

I have one that came from Northern tool. It has a Northstar pump and came on a 15 gal tank. I bought it about 12 or 15 years ago. I had trouble with the first tank and replaced it with a 25 gal. Still using the same pump.

My dad bought a 15 gal Fimco sprayer. First one lasted a couple of years, pump died. replaced the pump and it lasted one summer and the next spring it was dead. They didn't have just a pump so he bought another entire Fimco tank. It was the only brand they had at the time. It lasted the summer and was dead again the next spring.

Maybe I just got lucky but my Northstar has been great and I would definately buy another one. I even built a small boom sprayer for my 4 wheeler and run it with the same pump. I have 50' of hose for my spot sprayer which is handy when you need to walk around. I came off the main line with a "T" and plumbed the boom. It's nice in the pasture to have both. Spot spray small areas and flip the boom on for big places.

My 25 gal sprayer came with a fimco pump. It lasted less than a year. Replaced it with a delvan or devalan, not sure of the spelling, and havnt had any trouble since. Its been working 3 yrs now. Wont buy another fimco!

I had a pull behind with a Shurflo pump. That tank split, hoses dry rotted. Pump still works. Gave it to my father in law and he still uses the pump on another tank. That one is probably 10 or 12 years old.
I got a nice looking Fimco from Tractor Supply, put it on a ATV. Pump lasted less than a year. Replaced the pump with a Fimco pump. It lasted a year, tank started leaking. I kept a gauge and some plumbing, pitched the rest.
This year I got a 45 gallon from John Deere mounts in the bed of the Gator. It has a Surflo pump. So far so good.
