Up until a couple years ago city picked up tires, small propane tanks, and electrical appliances.
Now the refuse fridges and freezers as they quote 'freon' as the reason and say box stores will pickup.
Tires mounted they refuse.
TV they say the store will accept them on trade in.
As the snow melts we are finding all sorts of trash (rims, TV's etc etc) in vacant lots and hidden in various snow banks.
While they want to look eko friendly, the cities only want what can be converted to cash.
A buddy has a storage facility. The city will not accept any trash from him but he still has to pay the collection fees. Go figure.
