Greetings. Long time lurker, decided to make an account. ALOT of knowledge floating around on here- was wondering if I may tap into some of it...
Just purchased a ~500hr 2540, among other bent/broken things, the 'driver' side tail light is MIA, the other side is there but in rough shape. The dealer told me he had heard of guys doing away with the plastic tail lights all together and bolting on some sort of trailer lights(?) to the fender mounts there.
Any of you ever heard of such a thing? It does not look that bad with the tail light parts gone, and Iam fine with removing them if I can bolt on another decent looking light setup.
Also, Am I correct in reading the B+ B- wires are for a work light and are hot when the lights are on? I just purchased this property last year, and a majority of my tools are locked away due to my shop/garage not being built yet, so I don't have a test light handy. Making due with some random walmart toolkits.
I keep hearing about an app. that allows you to find parts, but none of the apps ive found work at all.
Curious if anyone knows what headlights/marker/signal light bulbs the 2540's take?
Is the "WR Long" 3rd function kit the go-to for everyone? Planning on a grapple- I have a rear remote, but would like a true 3rd function, hopefully without spending nearly $2000 that the dealer wanted to install one.
Any other tips or tricks you all have for the 2540, Iam all ears/eyes
Thanks for any/all replies
