Hi! Been working on my tractor since I got it. Now for the problems.
1. Steering - I changed the entire steering shaft and box assy along with all tie rod ends everything new- now it will move perfectly straight.
2.Someone had put a 12 volt batt in it, but I don't know what else they did to convert the sys. Original starter didn't last long. Found a short in a whire, repaired it and starter still slow. Bought a new starter and relay but it looked very different from the orig)and worked fine for @ 2 months then same prob started again. This time I bought the Gear reduction starter because I was told it would be a whole lot better. Didn't even get 2 full starts out of it.
3. Now it seams like it's stuck between hi/lo and in gear.
I do have the full repair manual but the translation is not as good as it could be. I have heart and back probs so it can get quite dicey after 5 or 10 minutes working on it. I'm running broke trying to solve the starting issue-someone PLEASE help! I'm not dumb, but if some really takes the time slowly to tell me hoe and what I need to do step by step, I can follow. Not a lot of these tractors in Louisiana or people that know anything @ them.. Thanks in advance. Hope to hear from someone really knowledgeable soon. Greg:confused2: My email is maninthemist1@cox.net Thanks Again!
