2520 arrived

Did the switch. traded in my 2004 4010 for the 2520. Can't believe the difference in power. Bought the last one off the lot. Dealer said next one won't be available until August as JD is re-tooling there line for the 2320. Steve ( Dealer) is amazed at how many orders he is getting for the 2520. Sold 3 4115 in 3 years. Sold 6 2520 since its inception.

How does the FEL rospond, can you tell a big difference? Is the MMM as easy to drive over/install as the JD video makes it seem? Very nice tractor. Thanks Fitz /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Haven't used it much yet. First impression is the hydraulics are a lot faster than the 4010's. The torque is noticable to. Throttled up it will spin the tires in the gravel. Going to finnish cutting the grass today will let you know how it preforms. Left a 1/2 acre of grass just to give me a reason to try out the new machine!! Noticably heavier than the 4010 and it really leaves a imprint on the soft grass. Cup holder is a nice feature to!

Idependant lift is a little different. Dealer didn't have a manual for the 2520 and has ordered one for me. The IL is in the tractor manual and not the manual for the deck!1 So at first setting up the IL was frustrating. When I hooked it up it just slammed up and down only moving a couple of inches!! Not sure what I did ( besides a lot of cursing) but it will lower now and I will play around with it today to set the height.

Dealer didn't charge me for the IL kit. I really didn't won't it and he was going to take it off but apparently it takes about 5 shop hours?? So ho left it on.

I will take the deck off today. Boy it looks big and heavy. This on-ramp thing may be useful after all. Hope it works as well as they say.
