What a blast! We got 12+ inches of snow in this storm, and I got to play in the snow until I ran out of driveways to plow. This was the first real test of the 2520 with the Meyers 6ft blade attached. I wasn't sure if adapting the JD Quick-hitch to the Meyers blade was maybe stretching things abit, but it worked better than I had hoped.

Do you feel the front blade is a lot better than just using the FEL for snow? We had about 10" of a combination of snow and ice over the last couple days, and I thought the FEL worked pretty well.

If you dont' mind me asking, about how much for a front blade and all the attaching hardware?

Looks good ! nice job - I cant find your pictures when you first set up the myers plow - I think that will help inquiring minds :)

I thought that a front blade would be faster than the fel in my situation, so I fabricated an adapter, which when welded to the rear pivot frame of a Meyers plow, allowed me to attach the plow to the JD factory Quick-hitch. It operates using the factory hydraulics.
I still use the fel when I have to move large piles, but the front blade gives me more flexability (gravel lane, paved driveway, grass parking) when plowing.

Mike 5252- the plow blade was a gimme, found on a friends farm. The steel and paint was about $100 bucks, because I bought new 1/4" plate steel, and 5/8" rod for this project. Craig

A Ballast weight would make that Beast push 3 times as much. Its amazing what some weight on the azz end does.

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of the blade at it's maximum height would you? I might upgrade and I would love for the blade to lift higher than my 2210.

I can get the blade 14-15 inches off the ground.

Wow I'll bet you can stack the snow real good with that.
