This is what I got for Father's Day this year. It is replacing an old 1951 Ferguson TO30. I have about 22 hrs on the 2520 now and I love it!! I couldn't figure out how to get the picture posted, instead I kept getting a link to the picture. Chris2520 correctly posted the photo below for me.

Very Coool, keep the pictures coming -

I really like your RFM, what brand is it ? is it side or rear discharge (advantages/disadvantages)? what size? How is the cut ?
sorry for the questions -

Duc,

It's a Frontier GM1072R, which is basically a Woods RD7200-2 re-branded and painted green. 72 inch, rear discharge, solid rubber tires. Weight is about 678 lbs. Does a beautiful job of cutting, way better looking than with my lawn tractor, which surprised me. I think some of the cut quality is due to the tremendous suction generated by the blades. You can see the grass being sucked towards the mower from about 6 inches away.

The quality of the cut surprised me because, even in the Frontier product literature, they try to downplay the cut quality by saying that it won't be as good as a belly mower or side-discharge rear finish mower, but you couldn't prove it by me.

Power-wise, the 2520 seems to handle it fine, although I do run in low range due to the hills. Even in low range, it makes short work of my 2 acres that gets finish-mowed.

The down side, at least for the 2520, is the weight. My yard is all hills and the weight tends to make the rig slide sideways on the hills, plus, I'm having to run in 4WD all the time to keep from spinning the tires and tearing up the grass. So, I'll be buying some wheel weights in the near future....
