clevalley, glad you finally got resolution. Question - I bought a 2555HST (no cab) the same month you did and it also has a well definded "hitch" every quarter turn of the PTO. The only issue I have experienced is that once the tractor is warm (say an hour of two of cutting), if I turn it off I can not get the RPMs back high enough for the PTO to 540. Do you recall experiencing that? I dropped the tractor off at the dealer for them to investigate, but it will be a few days before they get to it. Thanks for your input.
I got 2555 doing something put o er 12 hors on.pto no issues yet I figured it normal for that tractorHey, Clevalley, i just got my 2555 hst delivered the other day, tried everything out today, all levers, buttons, switches, hydraulics. everything works fine. EXCEPT my pto makes the exact same noise!!!! I tried turning it CCW and it doesn't turn. CW it turns but like you said, you can feel some kind of a pawl engage about every quarter turn or so. 6ft Rotary worked fine, just used it for about 20 min to try it out. I did notice that at full throttle i didnt hear it, at low throttle i could really hear it, like in your video. I am going to contact the dealer just to be on the safe side, and just wait until you get yours resolved. Please let me know the resolution.
The only other issue I had was the it would not go full throttle, put some cable lube where it connects by engine and all seems well.
What a really nice machine.
Will have a centerfold shoot soon and will post.
I got shuttle it's doing same thing I put 12 hours on bushhog no issuesSad to say I did not experience that, but the rear axle housing was so hot you could not touch it. My best guess is if your rear is super hot I'd imagine something is binding to get you up to 540.
I wonder if the problem is with the HSt's and not the Shuttle... a guy out this way has a 2555 Shuttle with zero issues. We compared notes and was the first he ever heard of anything like that.
