2555 throttle response

   / 2555 throttle response #21
Make sure on any of these models when you go to operate them that the lever for the Hyd remotes in the back is not engaged... it is a detent lever and does not line up with the N on the sticker when its in Neutral... very very easy to tell its lugging the engine if you have been around them for a while but if your new to the tractor I see it happen to %90 of customers... make sure the lever is in the middle position.. this will heat up your Hyd. in a bad way.. if left engaged to long it will burn every seal in the tractor..

the throttle response is exactly as you describe when its engaged.. may not be all of them but very common

Your refering to the smoke/rough running?? Yes??

Just in all that it will make the tractor lug and not respond to the throttle near as much. Never messed with a 2555 shuttle but the 65s response to the throttle is actually one of the better ones through the models imo..

When I bought my 2555 shuttle I noticed that there wasn't much throttle past a certain RPM point either with the hand control or foot pedal, so being the tinkerer that I am, I solved this (Mahindra and it's dealers won't like this!) by readjusting the brass cable stops at throttle control on the engine. I now have all kinds of RPMs even at the PTO.

I noticed the same issue with my 2555. I mentioned it to the dealer and this is exactly what he told me to do. I now reach max rpms. It takes all of 2 minutes to do. You will find the cable on the left hand side of the motor.

Thought I'd reach out to you 2555 owners again on this thread. Iv'e this same tractor back now that the cold weather has set it. He's got the MIL light coming on. Of coarse its out when I get. I check the ECU codes and its pointing toward the EGR valve sooting up. Thats a indicator the engine is not being run hard enough. Anyway I noticed with this unit , a pawn cold start ,I cannot run the RPMs up that high. Now I'm not starting the engine and throwing the lever full bore. After a minute or 2 of warm up I advance the lever but just above low idle the engine begins to miss and spudder with little puffs of smoke. Anyone else notice this on there tractor?? Engine smothes out as the engine warms up. I'm wondering if my customer is impatient a running the tractor running rough causing the EGR to soot up quick. Any thoughts??:confused3:

Dealership I work at has a couple of this model doing the same thing. At cold start engine is rough and smoking and any attempt to throttle-up is met with the skipping/stumbling and blue smoke you refer to along with occasional "derating" to 1200 rpm maximum. Plug in and only self-healed error for EGR stuck closed, which shouldn't cause this. We tried an electric charge pump but to no avail, issue continues. Please advise if you find a solution!

Check your Private messages inbox. Sounds like we have tractors doing the same exact thing. Have you pulled the EGR valve for inspection?

Got a question for you out there for those who have a 2555 tractor. I noticed on the one I have seems to be a bit sluggish on the throttle response. Told this was the nature of the beast since it is flyby-wire. Anyone out there notice this?:confused3:
Does fill like all tractor bucking or jerkin until full throttle mine doe
s it I start out at idle give full throttle jerjy until it get to rpm .it's 12 speed clutch shuttle. I think mine in throttle response
