2555 vs 2565 and shuttle vs HST

Hi Terry,
I don't believe you can get a 2565 with HST. Personally, I chose the 2555 HST because I was told by a dealer it was the highest horsepower you could get with HST. I haven't had the opportunity to really test the capabilities of my 2555, but I can tell you it's one powerful machine.

I think the owner of the dealer ship told me I could. I will definantly ask to make sure I am not mistaken. I am leaning toward the 2565 with HST.

Mahindra web site shows HST as an option on the 2565.

I was going by the brochure, which only shows the 2565 with a cab and shuttle. When I viewed their tractors by series, it also showed 2565 w/cab and shuttle. No open platform and no hst. If the 2565 IS available with HST, that would not only contradict what the dealer told me, but it would also make me fairly angry. I chose the 2555 I just bought because that model was supposed to represent the highest horsepower Mahindra you could get with hst.

I think it is a mistake on the web site. I've included the link that indicates HST below. In the link under "features" It lists 9x3 constant mesh or twin peddle HST. It doesn't even list shuttle which is in the tractor description/name. This contradicts the brochure that only lists shuttle for the 2565. So I'm fairly sure that you and your dealer are correct that the 2555 is the biggest with HST and the 2565 only comes with the shuttle.

Well, I went to the dealer and you are correct. HST only goes as high as up to the 2555. The web site shows you can but is missleading.

Having just gone through the stress of choosing the best model tractor, I understand your confusion and frustration. This is a lot of money to spend on a piece of equipment and you want to make darn sure you don't make a mistake. For me, I was directed towards the 2555 because it should provide enough PTO horsepower to run the 3-pt hydraulic power cell for my loader-mounted snowblower AND was available with HST. At this time, it is the only Mahindra model that offers both.

The 2555 is available with a cab and HST. If your specific needs absolutely require the extra 10 horsepower that the 2565 offers, you'll just have to give up the HST. If 55 horsepower is sufficient and HST is what you want, then is seems to me that the 2555 is a suitable choice (and less money than the 2565).

Please keep us posted on what you decide. It may benefit others in the future who may face the same decision.

I am traveling with work now and puting up some cash to put down on it so it will be march when I get the tractor. I have talked to the dealer and we agree the best way for me to get the whole set up like I want it is to order it. I'm ordering it in Feb, and going to pick up SEVERAL Implements and attachments to go along with it. I'll also pick up a bigger and new trailer to go with it. I have done my research and shopping and am pleased with what the result it. Thanks for the suport.
