I use the Napa 1334. The Napa 1365 and 1064 also work. (Wix #'s are the same with a '5' prefix). These all have M20 x 1.5 threads. Also Mobil 1 M1-108 and M1-110.
>Just for knowledge sake here are the differences in the 3 Napa filters.
[Seems to me that 'bypass' is only relevant if the oil is so dirty, or cold, that it clogs the filter!]
1334 9-11gpm, 8-11 psi bypass, 19 micron - 3" tall for YM186D
1365 9-11gpm, 8-11 psi bypass, 21 micron
1064 9-11gpm, 16 psi bypass, 21 micron
also
# 1568, 2.68" tall (short filter for tight clearance locations)

Hydraulic filter for the US Yanmars (Japan YM's too?):
I own a YM186D and found Baldwin lists the hydraulic filter for this application: Baldwin B2. Baldwin shows it is a broad-application oil/hydraulic filter.
Then back into NAPA's crossreference table. NAPA's version of B2 is
NAPA 1515.
Specs on NAPA's site:
Link: Part Details
including :
Height: 5.197"
Max Flow Rate: 7-9 GPM
Nominal Micron Rating: 21
Thread size, inches: 3/4" x 16 TPI
NAPA 1515 seems to be the oil filter widely used by Ford and others from 1957 to Y2K. (PH8A)
(I see Baldwin also mentions a similar 'short version', (NAPA 1085, Height: 3.836")
and NAPA also lists a similar, larger '2 quart' version.)
We have seen posts here cautioning that a filter intended for an engine doesn't flow as much volume as a native hydraulic filter, so check this!
I use the Wix 51525 (NAPA 1515) on the YM186D. Its hydraulic pump is rated around 4 GPM while the NAPA 1515 filter is rated 7~9 GPM.
