Would a Kelley B10A 3pt backhoe attachment( or any other brand) work on 2615 with the mahindra sub frame? Does the bh actually mount to the sub frame or the 3pt hitch?
Would like to get a mahindra 3710 but can't afford the $. Looking to get a used bh that is closer to what I can afford.

Typically, the backhoe vendor makes the sub-frame so you should check with Kelley to see if one is available. Otherwise, you can always make your own sub-frame if you are a reasonable welder.

The 2615 is not really heavy enough to handle a three-point only backhoe. You should have a sub-frame for any backhoe attached to it.

That's just my opinion but I'm not an expert.

thanks for the reply. i'd feel better having the sub frame also.
I called kelley mfg. and they dont offer a sub frame for my tractor. So i'm going to look at other brands that do.

Just wanted to put my 2 cents in. Take a look at the Woods B80X. I have the B70X on a 2015. The subframe is real beefy, and the whole hoe is really well made. Came with a heavy duty Gannon bucket (16 inch on mine) Comes off in 5 minutes, goes on in 10. I love mine, worth every dime.

I've got a Woods BX 70 on my 3215 and there is no doubt in my mind that I would have ruined my tractor and back hoe without the sub frame. I would rather save for a good back hoe than compromise with a lesser brand.

I second that OFFY. No matter how careful you are, that backhoe still throws the tractor around a little. With a good subframe set-up, very little of that abuse actually gets tranferred to the tractor.

Also, I've seen a New Holland 2120 with broken bell housing bolts, and a cracked differential case. That's all it took for me. The 2120 is a rather large 43 HP machine.

Theres always a fly in the oinment:(

Please read the back of your warranty slip about using other manufacturers backhoes & loaders.

JD, NH , Kubota all have the same policy

If you brake the tractor with another manufacturers backhoe during the warranty period, you're on you're own (yoyo) sorry:(

Has anyone here made a homemade sub frame?

Also do a search on "backhoe subframe" ...To answer your question, yes. A few members have made more than one, I made one for a BH sold as a 3pt. Taylor Way 766. You SHOULD be a fair fitter/welder, or become fair as you make it...;) .. lots of measurements ..tolerances etc: it was a great learning project..:D

ditzel,
If you are talented enough to consider building your own subframe, then you are surely able to install your own Mahindra backhoe. Here is what I would suggest; go to your Mahindra dealer and ask for the best cash price for a backhoe on a pallet. The dealer would order it and then forklift it into the back of your pickup or on your trailer. It would be a simple deal for him and maybe he would sell you one at a better than normal price, as normal price includes installation. Also, you can be patient on delivery time, that way he can have the backhoe ride along with a load of tractors to his place to minimize freight. I'd strongly suggest using the Mahindra backhoe.

My tractor was picked up in Tomball by my dealer, but my BH was shipped from Bradco's plant in Iowa.

The 3710A is built by KMW in Kansas and should be stocked in Calhoun Goergia, Houston Texas and Red Bluff California.
