My JD 2720 lift arms are rubbing my back tires... I called the dealer where I bought my tractor and said only the 2720s with the R3s had that problem....they told me that If I wanted it fixed it would cost $600.00 I only have 28 hrs on the tractor and its only 6 months old......I was pretty sour with the response....I talked to the owner the following day and he said he would pick up the tractor Tuesday....I explained how upset I was with the situation...I shouldn't have to pay extra to make the tractor work correctly where its only 6 months old....I will let you all know how it works out....hopfuly they take care of me...

Hi Brian,
Something is not right. The 2520 had the same problem until the arms were updated. Search these discussions and you will find those earlier posts with the JD corrective action numbers. I got this update done when I purchased my 2520 in 2008 at no charge by my dealer as did many others.
In general I think you will like your tractor once this problem is fixed.

Thanks I hope so.....I like the tractor..but this has been a problem since purchase..and it sounds like my dealer dosn't want to take care of me..but I will find out in the next couple of days...I will keep you updated
Well my dealer called me and told me that they flipped the tires around and that fixed the problem..they said they will deliver it back to me tommorow...I hope it was a 100% fix and not just some of the tiime...I will let you all know when I get my tractor back!!!!!

yep, new arms. Tell them you don't want the tire position changed.

Hi everyone , I have the same problem with my 2720 bought the tractor from my buddy after it had 3 hours on it , what do the new arms look like ? and is there a adjustable arm on one side like the New Hollands have and if so where can a person get some? Ok are those the new arms in the post above ? Think mine is a 2010 year.

Yes those are the new ones on runners hitch. You can also see the right one is adjustable,if you mean up or down.

Hi glc24, did some investigating since my post JD2720 is 2011, one would think I should have the new lift bars on mine but they look like the squiggly shaped ones on the tractorin the post, and I guess the bars I was thinking of are called telescopic lift bars, but since my post found the post on "pat's easy lift system" was very impressed , because I too use a 4' bar and a big hammer or foot to load my implements looked at pic again and think I have a bushing in between the bar and the center housing but on the pic here all bushings are on outside of lift bar
