273 broken frame

Part of any good service program is putting a wrench on all the frame bolts during a LOF. If we ever find one loosened up, we removed all of them, locktite and retorque them. Only takes a few minutes and saves a lot of hassle down the road. This goes for about any tractor, not just the TYM's.

Since is so easy to take the loader off the 293 I'm making it a rule. We have about 3 acres of land here and is much easier to move around without the loader specially when I'm using the rotary cutter. My tractor is getting close to the 300 hour mark and is doing great.

you must have perfected a better method then I have to remove and attach the loader, my last time doing that I tore both front ball joint boots with the loader kick stands. Id love for someone to post a video of them dettaching and reattaching the FEL

Your 5yr warranty is for powertrain and might not cover the frame ... I believe TYM does a 3yr bumper to bumper, plus 2 additional years for powertrain. Just FYI

Oh man, I'd forgotten that too! I just went over three years too!

Yeah, my Massey (like Kubota) only as a total 3 year warranty (2 + 1) ... just hope it doesn't bite me in the rear years 4 & 5. If happens in years 6, we are all screwed.... a 5-year warranty is definitely better than three.

Sorry but I haven't taken any pic yet. I took the tractor back to the farm and forgot to take some pics. Next time I go I hope to remember the camera. My front frame broke on the right side where the loader bolts go through. I also cracked on the left side. I welded the frame back together but I knew that wouldn't last long. I tried to keep the bolts tight over the years but that alone will not solve the problem. The tractor is a bad design the way it is. I tied the front frame to rear axel with 2"X2" X 1/4" thick square tubing. One piece on each side with a piece of 1/2" steel plate across between the pieces to keep it from twisting. I welded this to a 1/2" plate that I bolted on each side of the support that goes under the oil pan. Now the tractor does not twist and the loader is solid.

Our 5 year warranty covers frame damage for up to 3 years, after the first 3 years it's purely power train. I apologize for the issues you've been having, I would suggest to follow in the posters footsteps and weld a sub-frame connection if you plan on doing heavy lifting with your FEL. Also refer to the loader specifications sheet on our website in order to get information on loader lifting capacities etc.
Thank you for being a valued TYM customer!
