Just picked up a used bx2750 snowblower. The sub frame is set up for a bx25 with the longer drive line shaft (pn 70060-02728) mounted in the sub frame bearings. I need the shorter shaft (pn 70001-00772) to mount this on my bx2230, so the question is... Is it possible to cut the spline end of the long shaft I have down to the length I need? Is this shaft hardened? Or do I have to buy a new short shaft for $160?

Appreciate any thoughts...

Thanks,

I recently went through a similar conversion, just the other way, converting the quick hitch from my BX23 to fit my BX25D. Attached is a photo of both drive shafts next to each other. It does not look like cutting down the longer one would work.

I still have the shorter one, if interested PM me and make an offer.

I hope this helps. Joe

Many thanks to JoeG for trading shafts with me. I got the short shaft I needed and I sent him my long one so he has a spare. Arrived today, but it's raining, so will be putting in tomorrow. Then I'll be all ready for snow next winter.

Suppose you could say we gave each other the shaft!

I am also looking for the longer shaft for my BX25 if anyone has one to trade. I have the short shaft that was never used.

I just picked up a BX2750B Snowblower off a BX2230 which has the short shaft 11ス PN 70001-00772 (from the BX2752 kit)

I plan to install the blower on my BX24 which will need the longer 14 7/8 shaft PN 70060-02728 (from the BX2753 kit)

Does anyone need/want the short shaft and will trade for the longer shaft? Or does anyone have a longer shaft they want to get rid of?

I have the same issue with my BX25. I am installing a BX2750B snowblower on my BX25 with the BX2751 Quick Hitch subframe. I just realized that the driveline is too short - it turns out that I need the longer half driveline (14 7/8") for this application.

Does anyone happen to have the longer 14 7/8" driveline (70060-02728) that they would either like to sell or even trade for the shorter 11 1/2" driveline (70060-03113) that I have?

Let me know if you have one for sale or if your interested in a trade - also if you have any other suggestions for my problem.

I appreciate the help.

BxLarry,

You should be able to order the individual parts from Kubota. Yes, you'll have to pay their big markup, but at least you'll be up and running before the snow flies.

Good luck.
