What is “big business” and how do they wield such assumed power?

If someone can make money off this nuclear waste and do it within governmental regulations, they will do it. It has nothing to with whatever big business is.

Many reports have stated that oil company lobbyists have pushed to restrict high-speed trains using our rail system as other countries have been doing now for decades. I can imagine every oil company would use every means available to squash whatever comes along that would place them next to the blacksmith shop at the state fair.

So i am aware of lobbyists and lobbying. But “big business” is just a catch-all term used to describe the general overall business lobbying?

Nope no issue with someone. Didn’t mean anything to me - that is why i asked. Just seems like a generic made up term so was trying to figure out what the poster meant by it…..

As for the company investigating using nuclear waste - I agree 100% - am all for it if it can be done - would solve a big part of the energy problem.
