I' ve used my new 2800 for the last two weekends. Moved dirt with the fel just for fun, and also used 7' discs to disc up 5 acres. Had tractor in medium range, seemed to work fine. Ran at about 2200 rpms, when the rpms dropped I raised the disc a tiny bit or just slowed down. The hst transmission does seem to whine under load. I'm understanding this is normal. How much strain can these transmissions take? Just curious. Overall so far I'm pleased with the tractor.

HST whine is normal and after some seat time you will figure out what range, rpm & speed is best suited for whatever job at hand.
I run mine in med on most applications and low when digging with my BB.
