A relative got a 2810 4wd with shuttle shift and I have a few questions. He got it used with 180 hours on it and it didn't come with an owners manual. It leaks a little from the bevel gears on the front end, which makes it collect dirt on the inside of the front rims. I took the top plastic plug out and had a look inside. I could see the drive shaft and no oil that I could tell. (didn't have a flashlight handy) But I know it does have some because the left front rim had a couple of fresh drips.
What is the proper level of oil in the front axle?
What type of gear oil is needed?
Also where can you get an owners manual?
Can you get service manuals for these things? (would like to redo the seals on the front end)
Thanks
