2816 Hydraulic Filter?

Dave, won't scold you, just disappointing that everyone will jump in with info off subject. i knew i could remove mine, just didn't want to do that because i wasn't ready to change it yet.
My nearest dealer per Mahindra website is (30+ miles), Jeff Schmitt just quoted me $46.50 so the pricing must vary from place to place. I posted a number earlier that can be had for $30 and everyone seems ok with that.

Picture no longer needed. I did spin my filter off and found the info i was looking for. The flange has a somewhat smaller surface than the id of the filter gasket, just not much smaller. i have located a filter for $11.99 that will work for me. It has a little better micon filtration, and the same flow, no bypass, and is made by several companies.

I am done with the thread.

That is the nature of internet forums I think. If you are thinking out of the box, someone will warn you about voiding warranties, then someone else will warn you about safety, then someone else will interject something not remotely relevant. But in all of that, there are often nuggets of information or wisdom, you just have to sort through it. I think it is worth it.
