Once again, those prices are FOB China. And they want ALL your money up front, then expect you to wait six months for the merchandise to come across the ocean from China.

Two more good reasons to run - not walk.

I talked to Gary at Emery the prices are not FOB China those prices are FOB Cheasapeak Va., but you are correct, pay up front and hold your breath.

The way their Terms of Ordering are written, it sure sounds like FOB China.

Gary @ Emerybuilt has been a Jinma dealer for quite some time. I don't believe he participates in the tractor forums, but know there have been quite a number of people that have purchased trctors from him, and have been happy. You can breathe a little easier.

I echo Greg's comment "right tool for the job". I started out looking at Jinmas from ATV with specialized implements. Tractor is 10000% better for doing work, and the ATV is 10000% better at transporting you from point A to B.

I don't want to knock another dealers business model, most are much smarter than I, but a 30 day parts warranty is clearly a message that "I don't want to be bothered with this tractor after you take it home". Unless the warrantee has run out while the tractor has been sitting. I spend most of my day on the phone with people that have bought tractors, usually from a dealer who cannot or will not support what he has sold. Occasionally I do sell a few parts to these people and I dont really mind, but sometimes I do envy the guy that can pocket the money and be done...

I would caution that you use it heavily during the 30 days, it might be tough to find all the glitches in such a short time.

That said, at least you don't have to pay all the money up front and wait for a tractor in a crate...

Now a jinma for personal transportation would not be my first choice, not the easiest to jump on and off of, no suspension (except if you have a spring seat), etc.

Have you seen the Chuck Wagon CUV? honda engine, dump bed utility vehicle made in Roseland LA (I havn't checked but they are about 100 miles north of NO so I would assume the plant is OK). Anyway way less than 5k for a handy little truck to run around the place...
