Installed Tiltmeter on my 2910 today./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Had to take it out and check some of the small slopes on my property. I knew there were a couple of places that had some angle to them./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif I have always had to use FWD to make it up these slopes. Now I'm concerned with my tilt meter on and others talking about pucker power starting around 15 degrees. I'll have to start taking extra caution on the slopes./w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif See attached picture.

That's just about exactly the maximum tilt I've gone with mine, and I parked it there and got off to see how hard it would be to push it on over enough to get the wheels on the high side off the ground. I didnt get them off the ground, but it's still as far as I want to go, personally. Just call me a coward, but I'm uncomfortable at 12-15 degrees, get real cautious at over 15 degrees, and just plain don't intend to intentionally go 20.

I lived here 29 years. Never had a ROP's or Tiltmeter before. My 2 sons grew up mowing lawn during those years./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Never had a problem with rollover. But know I'll watch the grand kids when they are here to give a hand.

My newly ordered tractor came with a free tiltmeter. I don't know if I'll mount it. I'd be curious to see what it indicates with my old Internatinal. I don't worry so much about tipping over with it, although with no roll bar you would think I should. Rather then feeling like its going to tip it starts sliding down the hill. I would have to estimare the slope is 30 to 35 degrees. I cannot go up it, thats for sure. The Internatinal is a saddle style tractor so its center of gravity is lower. Rat...

Noticed in the attachment, maybe its the way the picture is taken, but the tilt meter seems to be leaning back , is that the way its made to be mounted?(I am clueless can you tell!haven't got my 2910 yet ... HOPEFULLY this weekend, dealer keeps me wondering) but just checking , I know it will change the angle(angle will read higher than actual)

Yes there is a small amount of leaning to front of tractor. I had it installed straight up. It moved front of Tiltmeter to close to steering wheel. I tilted Tiltmeter back a small amount. For clearance, I had tractor on slope when I took picture and when I made adjustment. Ball moved a little further into red. I plan on shortening bracket legs and mount Tiltmeter closer to hood. Since you haven't mounted your Tiltmeter yet you may need to be concerned about mounting Tiltmeter in position I have chosen. When FEL is on tractor, cross brace is just in front of fuel cap. This makes any funnel used to fill fuel tank lay toward dash and now the Tiltmeter. I plan on solving this problem by using a 55-gallon drum and pump to fill tank.

Hope you didn;t think I was busting on your install!
Looks like harder to read anyhow when straight up/down.
What do you think of the Model 51 tiltmeter? has L/R frontbak
on same.
I also will be looking at getting say a 30 gal barrel and pump
rather than fool with lifting. Haven't got there yet tho.

Not a problem. Knew it had to be changed. But like others on TBN, when I get a new piece of equipment/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I like to post the results sooner than later./w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif You have a sharp eye.

I like the model 51. Just didn't think that there was a need for it on my tractor. I'm more concerned about sideways than front to back tilt. If it hadn't been for TBN I would not have known about a Tiltmeter./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

My next project is installing a toothbar. As soon as UPS delivers it./w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

I must have a case of CRS this morning. I went out and looked at tractor. The reason for putting Tiltmeter on an angle was I had it mounted to far forward. This interfered with getting gauge portion of dash back into its proper place. I still need to move it back toward hood about 1".
