Hi Guys, Rick here at R&B.
All Tiltmeters are designed to read properly when VERTICAL
only. A slight tilt of 5 degrees forward or backwards is allowed.
Anything more will give a false reading. PLEASE mount any
meter vertically. If the 2 "L" shaped mounting brackets do
not work for you, I have a new style bracket that should.
If ordering, please ask for new style if needed. No extra
charge. Anyone that has "L" shaped brackets that will not
let you mount where you like and still be vertical, let me know.
I will send you a new style. Now, about the #51 dual dial
tiltmeter. Good meter. Dials are too small for practical use on
tractors. Designed for other applications. Not tractors. I have
sold a few to tractor owners, and they seem to like them, but
most say they are too small dials. The best models are
either the 25C, or in few cases, the 7489C. Both work well
on tractors. Both C versions are painted to show caution and
danger points using A.N.S.I standards. Note; these are
standards only. Your applications may vary, due to fel, wheel
weights, filled tires, etc. Thanks Guys. Rick
