Kubota 2920
Crazy but this morning I started up the Kubota to go out and clean up the snow from last night. When I went to start it the starter didn't engage. Moved all the levers tried it again still nothing. The glow plug light comes on when you go to start but the starter doesn't engage. Made the seat switch by hand and tried it again still nothing. Left the key in the on position made the seat switch and jumped the solenoid and it started. Let go of the seat switch and it died. Checked continuity between the switch and the solenoid with the switch in the start position no continuity. My guess is it is a safety switch somewhere on the transmission but without a schematic I am not having any luck. Any one have a scematic of the starting system with interlocks? Checked all the fuses and all are fine. Before I go out in the cold and start jumping every switch I can find I though I would ask here to see if any helpful insight from the forum might enlighten me. Best case a schematic of the system. Any help is appreciated.

If you have a hydrostatic drive, and a foot pedal operation, rock the pedal back and forth to allow it to find it's neutral-safety sweet spot. May take several motions, little or a lot, but your described symptoms (or eliminating many possibilities) lead me to think the foot pedal (or actually the neutral-safety switch associated with the foot pedal) is not allowing the required position for starting. I have had this issue crop up on my B7800. I have even nurtured the pedal with hand motion, depending on how much the neutral-safety switch requires attention. There are severl threads here on this issue as well as a thread and pictures for adjustment.

Headed back out to give that a try.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like it is going to be that easy. I can hear the switch clicking as I move the pedal but it didn't make any difference. Still would not start.
The switch could still be bad and not making electrical contact. I think the seat switch is working because I can hear the fuel solenoid click everytime I depress the seat switch. Any other thoughts?

Patience with the pedal. I have wrestled with mine for more time that I care to think back. The pedal (or position of the switch) can be tempermental.

Not saying this will resolve the problem but just a thought.

That plunger that activates the switch can be cold, out of alignment, etc....

Here is a picture of the B7800 and also a pic of a jumper to bypass the safety-switch (for testing only).

Credit goes to original poster of these pictures back in Sept 2009 from this forum.

Also make sure you haven't bumped a PTO lever (to engage), which will disqualify that particular safety switch as well, etc...

CrBr found the problem. You sent me to the right place. I got access to the connector for the pedal switch so I could jump it to see if the switch was bad and found the blade of one of the pins broken off inside the connector. I'll try and post a picture. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
