I have a 52 8N I use for small tasks along with my 5103JD. They are tough tractors, great for use on small farms

Looks like a 44-47 2N. That pic that shows the oil can and starter.. look aboce that big welsch plug and read the sn on the flat 1x4 area. All 9n and 2n sn's start with 9N.

it Realy looks like the 2n i had, i had the same problem deciding if it was a 2n or a 9n, somwhere i fould how to determie the difference i think it had something to do with th wheel lugs. i had a very hard time readint the S# as it was not stamped very deep. MIne was in somewhat better shape than yours, was still a 6 volt, POSITIVE GROUND. thing always started like the battery was just about dead(new battery) but that was the 6 v , thing always started tho even in the coldest weather. finally had to up grade as my old arms and legs could not take the clutching, shifting and the Very hard steering. sure do miss that thing tho. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
