I'd go outside and fire a couple of celebratory shots if I wasn't concerned that:

1. The local cops don't keep up with the news.

2. I am all paranoid about shooting up in the air since participating in the 'Deadly Force' thread /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

P.S. Wasn't Jor El the guy who predicted the demise of the planet Krypton (Superman) ... what's the story there ...?

Patrick,

You've got to spend less time reviewing physics books and more time on comic books. I believe the answer to you nomenclatural inquiry lies in the relatively new science of reverse tractor genealogy.

Patrick,

Glenn is Correct!! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

The appearance on the scene of SUPERBABY! (my JD 4700)

"gave birth" to my TBN-registered name of "JOR_EL" (Superbaby's father)!

SUPERBABY's genesis is described in the "tractor names" thread.

Isn't it great! It's about time the tree hugging, crystal gazing, bull chit liberals listened to the consensus of public opinion. This country was founded by gun bearing revolutionaries - I doubt that any bull crap the liberal press can dole out will change the ethic. I voted for George and would do so 100 times over. He has good people in his administration no matter whether it sells beer on TV or not!

On the same note, I strongly support "Project Exile" where mandatory prison sentences are given to anyone commiting a crime when using a firearm. Clinton never wanted to prosecute those wh committed crime using firearms so any laws they proposed were a mote issue as I see it. Just a way to appease the real issues and not do anything about them. So a kid goes wild and kills a bunch of people... Did the gun kill the people? No we have a case of disintigrating morals and lack of parental guidance. I think the big problem with kids today started when Mom went to work.. Who's home to teach Junior? Sure as hell ain't gonna be the teachers. Maybe the parents should be accountable for childrens actions. That might make them pay a little less attention to the Mercedes or SUV they want in their drive and force the discipline and parental education of their children.

I could rag on forever, just "Damn Glad We Have a Decent Moral Administration in Power after the last debicle of Liberal, Immorality" I can still not believe the people of this country allowed that immoral, liar Bill Clinton to contine in office. I guess that's apathy to the MAX! Probably too busy polishing the Kubota to care!

After reading the post on deadly force and the laws in Texas allowing landowners to shoot burglars committing theft of private property after dark I am starting to develop a deep respect for Texas. I mean where is it all going to end if we continue to allow judges to slap the wrists of felons and turn them back out to continue a life of crime. I think it's about time to start turning the tide of laws back to those of a prior time when people respected other persons rights or they got wasted in the process. I think this administration is on the right track! Maybe the silent wimps who have been hiding in the closet for the past eight years will come out now and support their desires and wishes rather than allowing the bleeding heart liberalism that has allowed such attrocities towards law abiding citizens. I vote for laws to protect the victim - to he$l with the criminal! Dust em then we don't have to support their jail terms and endless appeals.

Yeah, what you said!!

Well said Dr. Dan. I was watching the western channel the other day and saw an old Randolph Scott movie that reminds me of this. The old west story where he is a sheriff and has to clean up a town. In the end he cleans up the town but only after the townspeople come to his aid against desperate odds. In the end he gives his badge to the mayor and says that is his now. The mayor says he can't quit and Randolph says yes it's time. When the people of a town all get back to the right and wrong and well being or their town and take it among themselves to make things right there's no need for me anymore.

Re: Jor_El

Aha! I missed the Super Baby part. Haven't named my tractor yet ... so didn't follow that thread.

I like what you have to say DrDan. Not sure I fully agree with the kill 'em all let God sort 'em out approach - there was another discussion on this board regarding 'bad cops'. Rest of your post I do agree with.

As a point of interest - I catch all kinds of heat about the fact that my wife is at home with the kids. Seems that folks think I must be repressing her - it's an automatic reaction. No one that's ever talked to her has ever thought that though /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif - we're just glad we're fortunate enough to be able to do that.

I dare not mention to female members of staff at work that my wife is at home with the kids. Holy cow! They'd shoot me in an instant. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

Before we talked of marrage, or family or Kubotas, we discussed how and when we wanted children. We were both of the opinion to have her stay home and raise the children. Once they were in school, she would then be able to work outside the home. It has worked out great, we have four wonderfull daughters, all in school now and the wife works 5 Hrs a day at the local middle school as a teacher's aid (summers off). We have cut back (to make it work) but we wanted it that way.
