This thread (hopefully) is about the feasibility, viability and practicality of having two sets of mounted, differing tires and if you did this, why you did it or if you want to, why you might want to.
Here is why I want to.
What I do with my BX is a couple radically different tasks. Thus, again, for the price quoted, (and that is key to the thread) would I have two sets of wheels/tires? My answer is yes.
Also, for the record, a BX1860 is not offered with a middle of road, general purpose, industrial type tire. Not an option. Turfs or Ags, that's it.
As for damaging lawns- Grass and root systems isn't grass/roots everywhere and the soils that these differing lawns are anchored to is not the same everywhere. Geeez! It isn't that hard to understand that different people, with different lawns, with vastly different turf types, in vastly different climates, at differing times of the year might have particular needs or situations that don't match up?
Sweeping generalities don't cut the mustard, at least not with folks up here in Beaver Creek.
