Just the opposite actually. There are many forces at work by big govt., greenies, carbon taxes, etc. that want nothing but high fuel prices to further their agenda. Hard to make a case for windpower, electric vehicles, etc. at "only" $5 per gallon. Energy needs to cost two or three times that. Also, don't forget, the more fuel costs, the more revenue the govt. gets from us. Were driving less, so fuel better cost more if tax revenue is to remain unchanged.If gasoline prices should go to even $5 per gallon wouldn't there be a LOTTT of pressure to develop domestic sources?![]()
