I have a 9” auger and would like to set some “pilot” holes for some 4.25” rounds that I will be driving. Who makes a 3 or 4“ auger bit? I’m using a JD3033R w/ PHD300. Thx

I've never seen a phd auger less than 6".
Agree, although I have some that you can load into your cordless drill to plant bulbs... 😁

Lowe manufacturing bits for sale:
36" bits
2" Hex connection:

2-9/16" Round connection:

48" bits
2" Hex:

2-9/16" Round connection:

Adapters (if required)

Otherwise Danuser also makes auger bits down to 4" diameter:

You may want to check if there are distributors for either Lowe Manufacturing or Danuser near your location to avoid additional shipping challenges.

I believe I need a round 2” attach. That skid steer adapters page opens up a whole new world. Thx all.

That's what adapters are for. Bought or made. One time use and I'd probably make one up to use with the cheap 7/8" auger.

Comparing the Home Depot augers, it's worth noting that Pengo is a well known and respected name in the world of earth augers.

My dad made a 3" auger bit for his earthquake to plant some seedlings.

I ordered a Danuser auger and a hydraulic post pounder from them. Very excited to try this stuff out.
