i have a chevy with 3.42 ratio and 5.7 motor and 4L60E transmission. Every weekend for 5 years straight i towed my race car and trailer 45 miles to the race track. the race car weighted 3200lbs and the trailer was 1500lbs. I have 110,000 plus on the truck and no real complaints. there are two large mountains between me and the track, my truck would run 70 mph, cruse and a/c on just fine. now it would slow to about 60 on the mountain top, but for the hill i was on, that was accepable to me.
Now if i had two trucks setting on a lot side by side, i would pick the 3.73 just for more umph. Would i change my truck, not a chance, not worth the time or money.
just my 2 cents /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
