3 axle trailer heavy duty ----Question

I love how people love to look at a picture and state they know for sure that they are mobile home axles. I hate to tell you but I have a tri-axle trailer with three axles that look identical to those that are not MH. I know this because the trailer was factory built, I have the certificate of origin. Around here there are a lot of job site rental office trailers that also use these axles, are they one time use too? :laughing: One thing I was told to look at was the leaf springs, one single heavy duty spring usually is how MH axles are set up as multiple leafs are more expensive. I'd have to look again but I thought I saw multiple leafs in the OP.

My deckover has those style of axles, as do most older factory built lowboy equipment floats in this part of Canada. I can't tell from the picture, but the equipment trailers have the same bearings as conventional axle. Multileaf and replacable brakes are signs of the better axles but not a sure thing. Also, up here it isn't common to leave the wheels/trailer with the home. Its usually owned by the manufacturer or house mover and sets 10-50 houses a year. If they are going 300 miles with a house, you do see a rack full of spare tires though. You check the weights and they are maxed out.

Not illegal up here unless the tires are not DOT approved.
