3 or 4 blade blower wheel on snowblower

The Plate that partially covers the left or right exit point of the chute prevents any snow entering the chute and impeller drum while the impeller paddle is rotating and throwing snow out through the chute and spout of the snow caster.

EDIT: It should read "the plate barrier covering a portion of the impeller drum opening prevents snow from escaping while the impeller is turning and casting the snow out of the chute and spout"

We get 10 to 30 feet of snow each year and on occasion, we can get a lot of snow. My 4 blade arrangement has always handled the load even if it means slowing down to let the blower catch up. The 4 blade arrangement has a symmetry and balance about it that is probably easy on the impeller shaft.

you guys are way down on snow this year too..? we used to have place in eastern u.p. and I know last two years have been disappointing as far as snow goes. we moved to the inland northwest 3 years ago for the snow. haven't had a good year yet. last year above 4k got hammered but valleys received mostly rain. bummer. I wish kioti would have had a mid pto like kubota so i could use back blade.

I figured thats what you meant.

I am going to try and see if I can get a replacment impeller from Erskine.
It looks like they still make my model, with a few improvements.

will be sitting pretty and you will be happy you spent the $30 dollars.
