I would have to agree that it sounds like the rockshaft relief valve is either stuck open in the bypass position or the spring inside it is worn or broken setting an extremely low relief pressure. The thing that is kind of leading me down that path is you said you could hear the fluid in the line at max rpm. I'm only guessing here but at that rate you are running max gpm on the pump some is still making it past the relief and going to the places where it is actually supposed to go. At lower GPM it's all running through the relief. 700 psi seems incredibly low to me.

The FEL loader will have it's own dedicated relief so thats why your loader is operating as it should even though they are running off the same pump.

Today's results are.... I blocked off the pressure relief valve for the 3 point so it could not bypass. Same results. And yes super55 I agree 700 psi is extremely low.

I am trying to think of a way of blocking the feed to the 3 point at the banjo fitting to see if I can eliminate the remote valve. If I can get good pressure at the remote valve then it would point me to solely the 3 point system. I think.

Yeah I a sure that's what it is. I was asking Tx Jim if that was the relief valve he was speaking of.

Being unfamiliar with your tractor & not having access to your tractors tech manual for me to study I can not intelligently answer your question. BUT I've never seen a 3 pt rockshaft relief valve that was outside of rockshaft housing. Most tractors with open center hyd's I've been acquainted with have a thermal relief valve & a safety(over load or pressure) valve.

I would post the PDF but the site will not let me.

Of course it didn't post them in order but this is the entirety of the "service" manual from the factory. For the hydraulic system

I am not trying to be a smart butt to you Jim,. It was towards LS and thier so called service manual. It is 230 pages from cover to cover and the 12 pages I posted is the whole hydraulic section. Which is not very helpful.

Ok here's what I did now. I unplugged the pressure line to the remote and 3 point at the diverter block. Plugged my have in there. No pressure. Unplugged the loader, moved the valve to the no loader location and plugged the other 3 holes. So the pump is now only supplying the the rear of the tractor. Now I have pressure going to the back of the tractor. So apparently the loader relief valve is my next suspect.

Edit. I plugged my gauge into the pressure side for the 3 point and remote side of the diverter block. I would edit the post but every time I try it deleted the post all together

Just to update anyone following this thread,. Pulled apart the relief valve on the loader valve. It was fine. Out of desperation I pulled off all the lines to the loader valve. There is a fitting on the supply line to the valve, called a power beyond valve. It is supposed to have an o-ring. It did not. Put a new o-ring in and now the tractor is fully operational. 5 months and a complete teardown of the tractor for on o-ring in the loader control valve. Hope this information keeps someone else from doing the same.

It's always something simple and small like that but it will still burn our brains out.

I'm glad you found the issue and got it running. Thanks for updating us.

Thanks for update. I'm glad you found the problem.

Although it was difficult for this old codger to view your tractors tech manual it did help me understand your tractors hyd system. Back when I served as a dealer service manager for 13 yrs I relied on tech manuals a lot solving tractor problems. I'm curious if your tractors rate of drop screw controls lift speed as it states in TM??

Yes the valves on the top of the housing adjust the rate of lift and drop on the right hand side. And the one on the left hand side (as sitting on the tractor) switches from single and double action.

I spoke with the only dealer left around for these tractors and asked if they had a better shop manual. They said they wished they did. But what I bought from them is what they use as well. They voiced thier frustrations with such a non technical, technical manual. They said they have just had to rely on years of experience instead of the manuals. There maybe a reason these tractors are no longer sold. And parts are ridiculously hard to find. I have found that LS does carry parts for most of it but they have to cross the numbers in my parts book, to new numbers for LS which in some instances was 3 new numbers to get the same part.
