Recently just had the pin for the 3 point lever shear off (picture 1) ordered new pin , spring , ball and gasket, put it back together correctly according to the diagram . Started the tractor and starting leaking fluid again, not sure what the deal is . Is something causing it to build up to much pressure ?

I have not torn into that part of the GC hydraulic system, but it certainly looks like that should just be a non-pressurized housing, and I can't imagine how it could be pressurized unless something broke inside on the actual valve portion.

Is it leaking at the gasket or somewhere else? Was it leaking after the failure but before you removed the cover? How much is it leaking, i.e. a drip or gushing?

I would take the cover, make sure that it is flat, and also look inside the housing to see if anything looks broken. It is possible that something bound up causing the pin to break and also damaged the seals on the spool in the valve. It looks to be repairable if you remove that big hex head plug on the right and also the one on the rear face opposite it.

There is a control valve listed on Ebay for a GC1720, but it may not be compatible with your 2300, although maybe it only needs a bit of plumbing changes? This particular seller is easy to work with, and you may be able to get 20% off.

There is a thread about the entire hydraulic system: How Massey Ferguson GC 1723 & 1725 hydraulics are plumbed

Good luck and welcome to TBN.

It’s leaking out of the gasket “spraying” actually . I didn’t figure that part of the control have supposed to be pressurized . I’ll have to dig into it further and see what I can find . Thank you for the input! The pin had originally broke off because a heavy object fell on the lever and pushed it forwards hard and snapped the ball off the pin.

Does pin #5 go into dimple on control valve?.... IF you did not get control valve properly attached it may be pushed to one side and allow a high pressure fluid to bypass into the chamber and blow out gasket...By design it does not look like the chamber can sustain high pressure fluid...

Yes the pin was down in the dimple when reinstalled . Maybe a bad o ring on the control valve ?
