3-Point Hitch 3-point dilema

Guys,
First time post here so easy on the newbie. I have recently began having intermittent problems with my three point hydraulics. My problems include intermittent operation of the 3-point valve. On startup or after sitting awhile with no use, no action. Interesting enough, I have found that if I lift up the implement (box scraper) with a come along connected to the ROP and use the tractor for a while that it will begin to work normally after a while. I am thinking that I may have a pump problem or a sticking control valve. I have no problems with the power steering or issues from the front mounted pump that drives the back hoe. Attempts to solve have included complete replacement of fluid (kubota UDT) and both filters. I am suspecting the pump as I have noticed a little noise from the main pump and the FEL sometimes is a little jerky after initial startup. Any ideas? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Your 3pt and loader use the same pump… when your 3pt is not working is the loader work ok? Is that a hydro or gear tractor? I’m not familiar with your tractor (B20) but is the loader removable? If it is there is a selector for the hydraulics… if that is not in the right position your 3pt will not work.

Like KennyV said, your 3-point hitch valve is downstream from your front end loader valve. I had that same problem a few times with my B7100 and each time, I found that wiggling the joystick to make sure the loader valve was centered was all it took to fix it, even though the loader valve was close enough to centered at the time that the bucket was not raising or lowering.
