3 point drops

I'm very unexperienced at all this. I have a Kubota B6200. The 3-point hitch will lift an implement, but when I go to lower it, it simply drops all the way to the ground. Is there some adjustment I can make?

Pull the lever back to neutral.

Raise will lift the implement.

Neutral will hold the load

Down releases the fluid to tank.

Adjustment knob sets the descend rate. Fully closed will lock the 3pt for implement transport.

That knob is only the descent rate valve.

If you are trying to stop an implement about half way, push down on the lever and when it is where you want it, pull back up until the implement stops lowering, about midways.

Finally got back out there. I don't see any knob. It's a really old tractor.

Look below the seat, centered, about heel level, against the "wall".

Nope. Looked there. No knob. It's a 1983 model.

If you hold the lever down, it is going to stay down.

When the arms are at a position you want, pull the lever back to neutral.

You should have a descent knob . It will regulate the rate of descent and will lock the 3pt in a certain position.

Check the picture below. Check it out and see if the rate of descent changes with manipulation of the knob.

The knob might be missing, but the descent apparatus should still be there.

If you can not stop the descent, then you have a faulty valve.

I looked at your diagram, and the ones offered on the Kubota web site. The one I recognize is T08900, not the T09000. Perhaps there were different options available at the time?

I just plugged in a 2 WD B6200.

What is the complete model number? 2 WD, 4 WD, HST, D,E etc.

sounds to me like you have a bad valve somewhere. are you saying soon as you touch the handle it drops.

Do you not have an UP, neutral, lower on your lever?

I am in the city at work and cannot access that now, but I know it is a B6200E. 2 - wheel drive. Gear, not HST. It was originally set up with a belly mower which operated off a front PTO. With the belly mower, it did not matter because the wheels on the belly mower were adjusted to the mowing height desired. Now it matters. I'm now using the rear PTO with a small rotary cutter. The lever is somewhat like a toggle. To the rear and it raises the implement. Forward and it drops it. It does not stay in either position. It goes back to neutral automatically. It is also right next to my hip when operating, so it can easily be bumped without noticing and change the height of the implement.
