I have a BX 1500 and just purchased a Landpride back blade mainly for snow removal. I went to hook it up and everything went fine until I went to adjust the "down" limit on the tractor 3 point hitch. I wanted to adjust it so the blade would just be a "hair " off the ground. I was able to get the lower limit set(adjusting the "locker" on the rod as instructed in the manual) but now there seems to be too much tension on the system, when I lower the blade it goes down and the lift lever comes back to neutral like it is suppossed to, but then it goes past neutral to the raise positon and raises the blade back up again.
I can manually lower the blade and put the lever back to the neutral positon, but there seems to be so much tension, that the littlest bump will cause the lever to spring back to the raise position.
I removed the blade and had the same issue with the MMM, so I set the "locker" back to where it was.(It's OK now, the MMM lowers fine)At this point I figure I can just lower the blade manually to the height I need similar to using the FEL.
Am I missing something???

I don't think you are missing anything. Does it just bump the 3pt raise up a little or does it raise all the way up? My 3pt lever will not stay in the raise position on its own. Maybe you can set the limit just a little low and then let it bump up once and it will stay there? I assume your 1500 has a similar setup as my 2620, but somebody with another 1500 might have a better idea.

The blade raises all the way back up.

I think I found my problem and YES I was missing something. When I would adjust the "locker" I would then lower the lift/lower lever with the tractor TURNED off.
I went back to adjust it again with the tractor running, and when I lowered the hitch lift lever, the blade would be be where I wanted it to be without the issues I discussed before

Bottom line, evidently when the tractor is shut off the 3 point hitch arms go the whole way down regardless where the limit switch(locker) is set at.

Thanks to those who offered suggestions, hope this helps anyone with the same issue.

HOLD EVERYTHING........ Problem not solved, now I have the back blade lower limit set using the "locker" but it is keeping the MMM from lowering down where it should be. No matter where I set the MMM height control knob the deck only goes down part way.
I thought the "locker" controlled the hitch and the knob controlled the MMM, but it is evident when I adjust the "locker" to set the hitch lower limit it is affecting the MMM also.

At this point I guess I'll set the locker when I take the MMM off for the winter and put the back blade on.
