This may sound like a really dumb question, but here goes. I just picked up my new TC33da w/fel, I added a Woods 60" back blade. The question is, Does the 3 point hookup provide down preasure? When I was using the blade it appeared to be in a float type mode. And I didnt have the lever in the "Float Position". Any suggestions.. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

No down pressure on these smaller tractors. Strictly gravity...
You can add weights to the blade to make it a bit more aggressive. That will work until you run out of traction.

Shadled,

The 3 PH does not have any down pressure. All the way down does actually float the implement, the float setting on the handle (at least my TC24D) is for the mid mount mower with a cushion mounting system. The only way to get a back blade to bite in better is add weight or change the angle by lengthening the top link to give a more aggressive bite.

Hope this helps.
