Quick Hitches 3 point hitch quick connector..got one?

Good point about the PTO shaft and use of the quick hitch. Some PTO shafts may not be long enough. The Spee-Co, Landpride types will set the implement back 3-4 inches. For me the hooks doesn't work well or not at all with most of my equipment because of clearance problems not allowing the hook to get in proper position. Spee-Co makes the adapter standard with their quick hitch.

Beebop, is there any slop in the Jiffy Hitch? So you looked at the freedom hitch as well and found this one to be build better? Not to be rude but what is the rough price for the male and female plates?

They both seem to be pretty much the same system of hook and unhook, the jiffy versus the freedom. I've been wanting a set up like that for quite some time the only thing stopping me is pocket jingle./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Gordon, I believe I paid somewhere about 1k for 3 female units and 1 male unit that goes on your tractor as well as my hydraulic top link that is a must to have. I have noticed no slop whatsoever. The pins that lock this into place make for an extremely tight fit. The freedom hitch is the same metal thickness as the light duty JH female units, the heavy duty JH units are really heavy which is what you get w/the package deal.

I have a TSC one also. I can't use it with my kk 3 point finish mower either. I sure wish I could it sure makes it simpler to hook up.

concur with the pto shaft being a problem to hook up, but have yet had a problem with the lengthening of the pto shaft. we have a danhuser post hole digger, a woods finish mower and a woods rough cut mower and no problem with the length.

I have had three of theme sold them when I sold tractor when I bought another tractor its my first purchase Nothern tool has them for about 100 dollars that's the cat 1 model adapters or bushing that go on lift pins are about 8 dollars each they come with a hook which is ok but I fab a u shaped bracket that goes on outside of top link pin and then comes together with hole or holes that you pin to implement

Thanks for all the input. However I still do not understand how the quick hitch will work so nicely with so many different implements. Do all or at least most implements have the same hortizanal distance between the lower connecting pins? With the quick hitch your distance between the two lower points is fixed. You cannot adjusted it! Right?

Not all equipment is set up for quick hitch especially older stuff but on new equip they will advertise that it is quick hitch compatible but even so and I agree it might not be easy to do but modifying equipment to work with quick hitch is worth effort.
