3 point hitch round bale spear jammed in hitch

My 3 point hitch round bale spear is jammed in one of the lower arms of the 3 point hitch. That side is a bit bent and won't come out. I hammered the crap out of it and it won't budge. I tried spraying with WD40. It just won't go in or out of the hole. Any good ideas?

can you reach the bolt on the holding the pin to the spear? Maybe try to remove the bold then spread the 3 pt arms OR maybe giving the pin some play will allow it to come free

Holding pin is welded to the 3 point spear. I got the other arm and top link off no problem.

WD40 is a crap lubricant. It stands for Water Displacement formula # 40, which you can identify as being designed for lubricant. Try a real penitrating oil for better results. Although with bent stuff, the best lube around might not be nearly enough.

Agree with Steve. Seeing as you've been able to remove the other two points and cannot release the bent/jammed point, you'll need to remove it with the entire arm/link on that side. It'll give you more visibility of the problem and move leverage to correct the 'jam'.

A lanolin based lubricant (Fluid Film?) may help.

I agree as this allows a lot more room to work around it. If the pin is bent and won't allow the lower link to come off then cut the pin apart and replace with a new one.

I would not try to save this bent pin as it will continue to make attaching to this implement a pita.

With the lower arm off you may be able to use a gear puller.
BTW best penetrating lube I have used is a 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone.
