Ford 1700 3 point hitch lifts as usual, fast and strong. The problem is going back down, i can drink a cup of coffee waiting! Anyone have a tip for me?
Thanks!
Check to see if it has an adjustment knob or lever somewhere in the 3 point area.
It might be under the seat or on the top of the 3 point .
With no wieght on the 3 point it probably will be slow.
I am not familiar with your tractor but my kubota has a knob that adjusts the fall speed.
Ok, you guys are genius! My valve was closed. It is VERY easy to turn, almost to the point i belive vibration could close it. I'll see if there is a lock down nut or something to tighten up the adjustment knob.
Thanks for the info, feeling dumber than usual,
Tim

On some of the older fords, the draft control can interfer with the link arm drop rate - try adjusting the draft leaver if fitted... Same thing happens on our NH if the draft is set too high.
