Rob,
I am about 45 miles southwest of St Augustine. I am not a fisherman but have relatives and friends who are. They tell me the fishing is somewhat spotty now due to colder waters in our area. I even looked at the local fishing report and it mentions that grouper are available offshore and that some sucess with freshwater bass in the St Johns and area lakes.

Whats warm enough? Well I know a high of 28 is much worse than what I might face but I doubt you lay on the ground under your tractor doing routine maintenance in that weather.

Here we have been routinely in the 40s and I know that is not too cold but add the normal 10/15/ mph winds and laying on the ground is not for me. Here we say in the summer:" It's not the temperature that matters but the humidity". In the winter we say:"It's not the temperature that matters but the wind". Anyway I would have thought you would be helping Kevin with his newest bridge /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks a lot, Jim! I was half-joking, but if you can help me out with the light/housing, it's stamped
"Stanley 6-1648." /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Floridaboy thanks for the reply. Sorry for getting so far off topic. We spent the past week in St. Augustine and yesterday we cruised down the intracoastal to Daytona. We are staying at Halifax Harbor marina for the weekend and then we plan to make our way back to Palm Coast for a day or too and then back to St. Augustine for the last couple of days before we have to head back north. I've been fishing the inside and have caught some whiting and some sea bass near bridge pilings. We aren't keeping anything just fishing for the fun of it.

P.S. Uncle Kevin is on his own if he plans to build bridges this time of year!! He does a pretty good job in his own anyway..

Rob,

I hope you are enjoying your florida vacation. It's funny how things can change over little more than two weeks. Suddenly, spring is in the air in north florida. I have a BIL in Temple Pa.( near Reading) and talked to him today. 30's with rainy drizzle.

My 3 point problem turned out to be a too short adjustment on the top link AND a too tight adjustment on the check chains that combined to restrict upward movement.

I did enjoy laying on the ground at 40 degrees though.

Glad to hear it was a simple fix. I am still in Daytona as I write this. We will be here another day or two and then we'll start heading north. Not looking forward to the freezing weather again. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Your BIL is in my back yard. I live about 13 miles from Reading towards Phila on the Berks/Montgomery County line. Small world huh?
