So my box scraper started to move up and down about 2 inches when i use the loader valve??

I have never seen this and neither has my dealer.

So when i go to pick up some gravel with the loader, the box scraper goes up or down. When i go left on the loader valve the Box scraper goes down when i goto the right on the loader valve it goes up on the 3 point hitch

The dealer was stumped and they are working on it now

any ideas?

its the tractor in my SIG

I've seen where others had the 3pt hitch jerkyness fixed, but it effected the FEL... Since I don't have a FEL mine is perfectly smooth. I'm sure others will chime in on this.

What?

No the 3 point is not jerky, I was the first guy on here to get my 3 point adjusted by the dealer. So my 3 point hitch is smooth as glass when i go up slowly

I am talking about when i use the loader curl function my 3 point hitch literally goes up and down when i curl the bucket in the front on the loader

Maybe i mis read what you posted

I understand your hitch is fixed. However with the fix comes other issues....Like your FEL. From your inital post you stated " So when i go to pick up some gravel with the loader, the box scraper goes up or down". This is one of the drawbacks from the control valve being adjusted, or as I have read in several other posts. I can't confirm this being I don't have the FEL..

Hmm.. this is exactly the condition that Chilly807 ( who is a mechanic by trade) ran into when he tore into the 3pt adjustment. he could never find a sweet spot where the hitch stayed silky smooth and the FEL was not affected. So he set the hitch adjustments back to factory and gave up. I wonder if your dealers mechanic found a spot originally where they could get smooth 3pt ( I have seen your video) and still not be affected by the upstream diversion of pressure from the FEL? But now with a little wear, the adjustment is so critical that the "sweet spot" is now gone? Interesting.

I have an IH 684 that does this. When I first got the tractor the loader was plumbed through the rear remotes and it was fine then I put a power beyond plate on it and it started to jump. Either it got better or i don't notice it as much anymore. Everything else works good so I just live with it. It has been that way for several years now.

well if they dont get this fixed im going to be making them give me a new tractor or an upgrade to a grand L

This is ridiculos, i have had my l3800 at the dealer 10-15 times since i bought it last june and im not at 50 hours yet

im getting a little sick of all these issues

Yep, its the same issue Chilley807 and myself faced when trying to adjust.

Your "smooth" hitch is a result of the hydraulics being in a dynamic balance. Any thing that changes the pressure or flow of the system (RPM change or FEL use) changes that dynamic balance and your 3PH moves as a result.

this thread is VERY long but will explain everything http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/.../233308-l3400-3-point-hitch-adjustment-7.html

Good luck with getting your dealer to do anything. If they do, you have one outstanding dealer.

BTW, is this the first time you have used the FEL with something on the 3PH, or just the first time you noticed it, or is this actually the first time it has done it???

Also, with the blade on the back raised about mid way, and the tractor at idle, rev it up once. What does the blade do??
