I suppose one could hook it like a sprayer pump with just a leverage arm and a chain,
(I felt the way you do, or did many years ago), and I started off with electric unit, and that was a wast of money as the GPM was so low that it was just a wast of time,
and finally I had a big paint job coming up and bought a northern tool unit with a Honda motor on it, it is now nearly 20 years old and it just runs and runs and runs, change the oil now and then and add fuel, it was not like beating your head on the wall with some of the old flat top Briggs motors, that may run or many not depending on the day, that had that carburetor on the fuel tank,
If you got a larger than normal GPM pump so it would still pump at a good rate at 540 or if you have a 1000 PTO, and match it up and find a compatible unloader for it I think one could put it to gether easy enough
the gas motor pumps that direct bolt run about 3600 rpm, but they make some larger units that are designed for belt operations, most likely there lower RPM as well,
or make a gear up system and use one of the smaller unit and just make a gear up, one other thing if you added a water tank on it, you could use away from a water supply, put the thing on a small platform with tank and a few valves one could use it from hose or tank, and if you wanted to inject a chemical at full pressure one could add the soap or chemical in the tank, (most need a reduction for the injectors to suck in soaps or chemicals),
