I have an L3830 and there is a noticable delay in the 3 pt hydraulics when raising the hitch.
Is this normal?

I have the 3430 and I get it too. I believe it's normal, just the hydro fluid moving slowly as it warmes up. When it's been operating a while, it doesn't hesitate.

Warm or cold, it doesn't seem to make any difference.
It's not nearly as responsive as my FEL.

On the L4400 you can adjust the speed of the 3pt hitch. Even on the higher end it is not as brisk as the loader. I don't think it is intended to be.

may be a false start, but this was caused by low fluid on my tractor.
