Does anyone happen to know the size and pitch of the welded up turn buckle on the B7610 HST. The right side on mine binds so bad that a wrench is need to turn it and I want to chase the threads. I assume it is metric. Anyone know a resource for reverse threaded nuts and taps, so I can weld up new ones, or will it just be cheaper to buy new turnbuckles.
regards,
Steve

Here is what another TBN'er did with his Turnbuckles. Click Here
Maybe he or others have parts they want to get rid of. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
A new turnbuckle and left handed thread chain assemlby cost about $36 plus shipping.

McMaster-Carr has lefty metric dies: ~$40 for a M12 x 1.75 (no idea if that's even close to the size you need) ... for that price, I'd fix the threads with a needle file and a quart of beer.
Cheers!

got mine off e-bay, a rather common item (breaks a lot?) for $31 plus 3 day shipping $8.95 ( Here is what another TBN'er did with his Turnbuckles. Click Here

Go with the telescoping arms like on the B2900. I did this to my B7500 and LOVE IT! It's so much faster and easier to hookup these days and worth every penny. I think it was under $150 and took 2-3 hours.

FYI,
The threads are 14x 2.00 left and right handed. After alot of time, research and money, I fixed my factory ones by refreshing the binding turnbuckle. I bought L and R side taps and dies, as well as L and R 8.8 steel nuts to duplicate the turnbuckles. I can attempt to refreshen the threads on your bolt or turn buckle. and/or supply you with a new turnbuckle for less than $31(as posted on this thread for an e-bay purchase). Can't freshen threads on bent pieces PM me for details.
regards.

You can order left handed threaded stock . I ordered a 3' piece from my welding supply store for i believe about $8 bucks. I have made up several spares so i don't have to wait when i bend one.
Also i noticed that the new stabilizers have a much beefier turnbuckle and stock.
