I can't say, because I am not an expert on implements, tractors, or the different brands of tractors. There are some here that believe that they are and have all the answers to this and other questions.

Junkman, I have not run into too many of those kinds here at TBN...

For the most part members here seem to try to be helpfull and do answer questions when they have something to say...

So I must say this comment of yours sure has me /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif.

People ask questions about tractor capabilities because they are not sure, and others give their thoughts on one tractor VS the other...it is no different than talking about trailers or trucks.

Like you say, the bx is a bx. It may be unique, having a limited cat 1 3PH. Saying so does not really bad mouth it, it is just stating fact and nothing more, at least that is the way I see it.

Like you, I think my bx is a great tractor, but if I were buying my first tractor, I would rather have someone tell me that the 3PH is a bit on the small side before I bought one, than to find out on my own later...

RB6,

Maybe I have a thick skin but I did not feel anyone was upset...

I don't even remember what Kubota claims about the BX 3PH. Do they call it a limited Cat 1?

I do think it is reasonable if someone asks about a BX vs a NH TZ21 (or whatever it's called) or the MF, to point out that the bx 3PH is more limited, or that the bx may have less ground clearance...

Myself, the small size of the BX was what drew me to it. I love mine for what I use it for.

Wouldn't trade mine for anything either.

Bill,
I didn't see anything wrong either. It is just like telling a prospective JD owner that the JD 790 has lower lift capacity. Every tractor has its weak points as well as its strong points.

The spec sheet calls it a Cat 1 .

I personnally have had no problem using a post hole digger on my BX-22. I had to drill one extra hole (approximately 7/8 Diameter) in the thick plate under the round channel. This has given me the clearance to switch the PHD between the 3130 and the BX-22 and I only need to move one bolt.
