3 pt multi purpose bar

i was thinking about building one of those to tow my 2-5/16" goose neck horse trailer and 2" bumper pull equip trailer, but on after-thought i think im leaning towards a skid mount receiver method. that way i can be facing forward while i maneuver the equipment into the shed.

i may make my own or buy this one at "quick attach".
Skid Steer Hitch : Quick Attach Attachments, Inc.

not sure if i can make one cheaper.

im also playing with the idea of just adding a gusseted receiver to a set of skid mount pallet forks. but im not sure if the forks are removable. that way all i would have to do is remove the forks and install the receiver. saves about $500 in equipment and 1 less thing to store.

I think this might work

Now some grinding and paint

Now that looks darn good! I think those trailer mover things are very useful. I made one two or three years ago and I'm still happy I put in the time for that build.

Also made this with some mostly scrape steel I got for free from tractor supply

my deluxe UDS needed a cart with wheels

I am looking at your picture and I still don't know the answer, so I will ask. What is a UDS and why does it need a cart with wheels?

Google UDS smoker.... They are awesome to use and easy to make.

It needed the cart with wheels because I just wanted to make one..

But it does hold it off the ground

Well done, looks more useful than the trailer mover I bought at TSC, Adding hooks was a great idea.

Just be careful pulling a load from the hooks mounted so high up. Once you get above the tractors axle its very easy to turn it over on its back. Happenes all the time. Much better to pull from below or at the axle line.

Thanks for the heads up.. I made this for my best friends ranch.. He just sold his gooseneck cattle trailer... so might just put a bolt in the top for now.

Had someone else tell me to run a brace from the top by the gooseneck hitch to where the it connected to the bottom links? Thoughts

I would advise that as well. Since on your design, with the hook placement plus the gooseneck, that is a lot of load on the top of your inverted T. And without the lateral bracing, it could easially bend the upright over with any side loads. For example, backing up a gooseneck while trying to turn it sharply. Or pulling with the hook on an angle.

The designs that DONT have any hook-ups on top can ge tby without it, because the weight is carried MUCH lower.

Hope this makes sense. Its getting late:confused2:
