Hmmm... a lot of good suggestions here. Sounds like the adjustable forks are most popular and would give me more flexibility. I also like the idea of having the backstop which the stationary ones usually don't have.

I don't think that inexpensive $100 carryall is heavy-duty enough, plus the forks probably not long enough.

Dan, if I purchase FEL forks, I'm afraid I won't be able to see well enough to maneuver the forks under the bins (hillsides, etc.). I don't need to lift very high. Besides, my B7800/402 loader would probably struggle picking up 1000 pounds that far out from the pivot point.

We put the bins out by the driveway and a boom truck picks them up daily during harvest season.

Here is a picture of a 3pt carry-all that I built for a friend. It was designed to carry 1500-2000 lbs. The basic design was taken from the standard light duty carry-alls but the steel used is quite a bit heavier. There is a post somewhere in the Build-it Yourself forum with more pictures.

The frame and forks are 3" x 2" x 3/16" rectangle steel. The bottom frame piece is 6" x 2" x 1/8" rectangle. The tabs for the lift pins are 3" x 3/8" flat bar and the diagonals and top link tabs are 2" x 3/8" flat bar.

Very nice MadReferee.

Sadly I don't have the skills to make my own. If I did, I would probably have to build a barn to hold everything I want.
